Privacy Policy

Sakura is a mobile companion for the AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode) running on your own computer. It is built privacy-first: your source code, prompts, and AI conversations never leave your Mac. They travel directly to your phone over an end-to-end-encrypted private network (Tailscale/WireGuard) and are never sent to, stored on, or readable by Sakura's servers.
Information we collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the service:
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address to create and identify your account. If you use the app as a guest, no account is created and we store no personal information.
- Push notification token. If you enable notifications, we store an anonymous device push token so we can alert you when an agent finishes a task or needs your input.
- Service metadata. Workspace and membership records, and the network node identifiers needed to establish your private connection between your phone and your computer.
What we do NOT collect
Sakura's servers never receive your source code, file contents, terminal output, AI prompts, or AI responses. That content stays on your computer and is only ever sent to your own devices over your private tunnel. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to anyone.
How we use your information
- To authenticate you and create your personal workspace.
- To establish and operate the private network link to your computer.
- To deliver the push notifications you opt into.
- To send essential account emails (for example, a welcome or workspace invite).
Service providers
We rely on a few processors strictly to operate the service:
- Apple & Google — sign-in.
- Expo — push notification delivery.
- Convex — account and workspace database.
- Tailscale / Headscale — the private encrypted network.
- Resend — transactional email.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Deleting your account permanently removes your account, the workspaces you own, your memberships, and your connection records. You may also request deletion by emailing nisarg@sakura.mom.
Security
Connections between your phone and computer are end-to-end encrypted with WireGuard. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device.
Children
Sakura is a developer tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
